I do 3 for 7 weekly rates all the time. I do it at a premium rate; i.e. add on an extra 100 or so to the 3 days. say your jib goes out for 500 a day x's 3 =1500 . tack on another 150 for a total of 1650 for the week. this is based on using it for all 7 days. if there's 2 or 3 days that are travel or black days i would go at the normal weekly.if they bitch it's easier to lower the rate than to raise it. I also have done 3 or 4 week rates. in this case I ask them how may actual days they are using it. same questions apply.. if they're really using it for 4 out of the seven then sweeten the deal with a 2.5 week.. at 1250 x's 4 weeks that 5000.
enough for a down on another jib. the thing is you have to have another jib to work with if it's a rental only, not you as an operator, other wise it' not worth having it our of you inventory. i can let one go and still have one to use. my jobs come in from the mainland and sometimes the prod. co bring in their own op's... so i rent one to them and i still can do other jobs. good luck.
