Hey Scott
We've used the Stanton film focus systems for over ten years and have rarely had any problems. Only occasionally (with a very short prime lens & mattebox) has there been a problem getting the focus motor to fit. We carry custom mattebox rail adapters that allow us to approach the lens from different angles if this problem occurs. The new right angle motors that Jim is offering should eliminate this problem - they look cool. Jim's focus motors have been EXTREMELY reliable.

We DO NOT supply zoom control for film cameras There are just too many modifications that can be made to brackets, and cables to risk the possibility that a zoom control/motor wont work with a particular camera. In that same ten year period, I have had a production manager complain only once because they had deal with ordering the right equipment. I find it best to have the AC order the correct zoom control for the cameras and lenses that we will be using, and make sure they work on the check out day. If a jib op supplies the remote zoom unit, and it doesnt interface with the camera it is now the jib ops problem not the camera departments.

It obviously makes sense to have your own zoom unit if you own a camera or tend to use the same camera all the time. In the New York market there are just too many camera to keep track of.
